Warm Weather Makes A Difference!

We managed to get away as a family over the new year. The first time that we have been away at that time of year, but we own property in Lanzarote, so it was a little easier than usual.

We had all been working hard all year, and I had been feeling the pressures of working lots of stupid hours on a website launch.............so needed a break.

I had also started on a new course of meds which were getting me down. I was taking Gabapentim and Amitriptylene to help me sleep and then be able to get up in the morning without feeling too achy and stiff, and having to wait an hour before my body woke up!

Anyway......2 days into the holiday and I stopped taking the Gabapentim (nervously) but I felt like I didn't need it. At the end of the 2 weeks, I hadn't taken any, felt much better and was sure it has to do with the warm weather.

Got home a few days ago, and although I still feel great, I can feel a slight stiffness coming back....its bloomin cold here in the UK at the moment and its damp.....its not helping any!

Hmmm....the thought of moving somewhere warm is so attractive!

I Wish her well.

Best of luck to your daughter. I wish her well soon.

Worried Sick

Hi
I am not sure if this is the best way to add a comment/question. My Daughter was diagnosed in May 2010 and she has her surgery on thursday 8th September I am scared stiff. She is very positive and just wants to get rid of the headaches but I am worried she is just going to transfer one set of problems for another set.
We live in Cornwall but the surgery is taking place in Walton Liverpol and I am concerned about complications and aftercare, we have struggled in Cornwall with healthcare worker who have never even heard of the condition.
Any reassurance advice would be very gratefully received she is 20 years old.
Kind regards
